Biografia
Pugliese d’origine, Fausto Corbo si è distinto sin dalla prima infanzia per il talento pianistico che lo ha portato ad intraprendere gli studi musicali prima in Italia al Conservatorio “N. Piccinni” di Bari, poi in Svizzera al Conservatoire de Musique de Genève. Dal 2001, in parallelo all’attività pianistica, ha cominciato a dedicarsi alla direzione corale con lusinghieri consensi di pubblico e critica. Dal 2002 si è formato alla Musikhochschule Luzern con Alois Koch, mentre nel 2005 si è laureato in direzione corale con lode.

Maestro Corbo is a very talented musician and possesses a clear and fluidly expressive stick-technique and has a rehearsal manner that is authoritative, yet engaging and encouraging. He has proved high standard as a performer in a challenging repertoire in many public appearances. Maestro Corbo has certainly a great future as a conductor in the field of Symphonic and operatic repertoire.
Herr Corbo ist in Oper und Konzert einsetzbar, er ist sicher beim Einstudieren wie bei der Aufführung, er ist auch stilistisch vom 18. bis zum 20. Jahrhundert versiert, er hat ein ausgezeichnetes Gehör und eine ausgezeichnete Dirigiertechnik.
I believe that he has already more to offer than a great musical talent: he is a mature, excellent and skilful conductor both for symphonic and operatic repertoire. He has a strong personality as well as an excellent approach to the musicians in the orchestra who follow his directions unquestioned. His charismatic and charming personality convinces both- musicians and audience.
